Welcome to Edinburgh College of Art’s 2011 Degree Show.
I am delighted to invite you to explore this extensive exhibition of final year work by students from many disciplines within the College ’s Schools of Art, Architecture, Design, Landscape Architecture and Continuing Studies. I am sure that you will find the work exciting, stimulating, innovative and challenging.
As a creative institution we encourage all our students to invoke freedom of expression and imagination. Individual work is never censored, unless it is illegal or contravenes health and safety regulations. However, some people may consider some pieces to be indecent or offensive.
Degree Shows will continue to be a highlight in the calendar of the new Edinburgh College of Art which, following the merger in August with the University of Edinburgh, will include History of Art and Music. The merger will bring additional opportunities and benefits for students and staff, whilst preserving the College’s identity, ethos, studio spaces and teaching methods, and continuing to showcase the dazzling talent of our students.
